In early September, Amsterdam-based dance artist Marcela Giesche  kicked off the Marlin and Ginger Miller Dance Residency Program with a week-long teaching residency and two performances of Wanderers and Wonderers. She created and performed three new works during her residency, two of which included performances by AU students and faculty. The concert was presented to sold-out audiences both nights. One of the works involved seven Alfred University students and was created the week preceding the concert; another was a vocal/dance duet created in collaboration with Dr. Luanne Crosby; the third was the premiere of a new thirty -minute solo that included Alfred clay, in consultation with Art and Design faculty, and a floor covered in newspaper.
