Argentine Tami Tango Trio

Tango

The Marlin and Ginger Miller Dance Residency co-sponsored Argentine Tami Tango Trio, along with The David and Elizabeth Miller Guest Artist Fund and the National Endowment for the Humanities, to perform and teach at Alfred University. Flute virtuoso Eduardo Tami discussed the history of the Tango before he and guitarist Pablo Fauaz, pianist Federico (Tato) Pérez, and Tango dancers Claudia Marciano and Mauro Holzmann performed dynamic Tango music and dance. The Trio’s repertoire includes examples of tango, milonga, valse and candombe, along with the group’s interpretations of legendary Latin American composers. The Tami Tango Trio has recorded three CDs and conducted many concert tours in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
