Robert Bingham is a choreographer and performer based in Rochester, NY. He received his M.F.A. in dance from SUNY Brockport, where he was a Pylyshenko-Strasser Award recipient. Prior to attending graduate school, Robert danced with several New York-based companies and artists including De Facto Dance, Ishmael Houston-Jones, and Jennifer Monson. His own work was presented at various venues, including P.S.122 and The Painted Bride in Philadelphia. He has also collaborated with Butoh-based choreographer Lani Weissbach, dance scholar Sondra Fraleigh, AU Dance Program Director Chase Angier, and is a featured performer in the dance-on-film “Broken Images,” which has been shown nationally. Over the course of a year, Robert Bingham taught, choreographed, and performed at Alfred University, choreographing an original dance piece for AU students that was performed in the AU Dance Theater Concert. Robert and Chase Angier also co-choreographed/co-performed two duets that were performed in New York City, Philadelphia, Brockport, and Alfred to favorable reviews.
