Day of Dance: Kristina Isabelle and Balinda Craig-Quijada

This residency with Kristina Isabelle and Balinda Craig involved art faculty and students, the AU Existing and New Repertory dance class and the community. The repertory class performed Chair Pillow, originally choreographed by postmodern choreographer Yvonne Rainer in 1970 and was put into the public domain to be performed by anyone, anywhere, at any time, to any music. The performance concluded with a structured improvisation performed by Kathleen Thum, Angie To, Judi Strahota, Linda Mitchell, Robert Bingham, and AU’s Head of Department of Dance D. Chase Angier that dealt with text, movement and objects.
